Queen brought a whole new meaning to the phrase over the top. While rock & roll flamboyance stretched back at least as far as Little Richard, Freddie Mercury continued to camp it up, taking little seriously and smirking at the music's growing pretensions while partaking in them no small bit. Many of the band's singles hold up extremely well, later tracks such as "Hammer to Fall" as much as prime-era numbers such as "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Killer Queen," and "You're My Best Friend." Greatest Hits indeed! Feb 22, 2010
This is a great collection of some of the best Queen songs ever. I purchased this for a 13-year-old who is newly becoming acquainted with Queen, and now it's all she listens to. The insert booklet has some really good inside information about the songs and the albums they were taken from. The only thing that would have made it better is if the words were included.

The perfect Queen set for the begginner. you don't need hits 3...The first 2 is all you need.....If you love this package then the real fun begins....Start exploring the studio albums, like "A night at the opera" "sheer heart attack" for the classic rock side of things, and "the Game' for the pop side of the band. If all goes well with those than pick up the fan favorite "Queen2." for the begginners.....I hope you have as much fun exploring this great band than I had years ago.

Their title song will probably continue to remain the most popular of all time. These guys not only rock, but they have more accomplished musical skills on ALL levels, from vocal harmonies, to extremely difficult individual vocals, plus a complete range of instrumental accomplishments than most groups today or even the classic groups of yesteryear. No wonder their popularity is ageless.

If you're a fan of Freddie Mercury and the gang, this is a must-have edition to your music collection. Classic jams like "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Bicycle", "Fat-Bottomed Girl", "We Will Rock You", "We Are The Champions" - to name a few - are found on this double disc set. Excellent and informative inserts with factoids about the band and the music. Highly Recommended!
