Never been a Seal fan before, but if you like soul and blusey tunes, you'll love this CD!

I just loved the whole CD. I liked Seal before...now I am in LOVE with him( I now understand why Heidi fell for him!) My favorite is his remake of Al Green's "I'm Still in Love". I heard it in Macy's a few months ago on their PA system and I was so into it, I started dancing in the aisles!!! Good job Seal!!!!!

This man has an incredibly rich soulful voice, and I admire him as a person (from what I see). I read the list of the classics on this CD, and I was so excited to add this to my collection. I just got it and listened for the first time. I wanted to fall in love with this CD, I really, really did. Instead I am disappointed, and irritated with David Foster for slickly ruining the seeds of soul. The arrangements are in some cases, just downright cheesy. Other times I can picture Broadway dancers doing jazz hands. I wanted to sit with Seal on a couch in front of a roaring fire and have him lay his heart and soul in my hands. Now, I will listen to this CD again, and probably will start to like some of the songs...but now I am warned (and so are you)...don't expect to lose your heart to this Soul.

Seal, a.k.a. Mr. Heidi Klum, is one of the most sound forward R&B artists around today, and it took the help of David Foster to come up with this collection of soul classics, and he did a great job of it, too. His takes on songs such as "A Change Is Gonna Come", "Stand By Me", and "If You Don't Know Me By Now" just can't be beat. His version of "It's A Man's, Man's World" could even rival the Godfather of Soul himself. For Seal fans, and at least any sould fan, this album come highly recommended.
