Fantasic Buy!! Mar 29, 2010 I heard a few of the songs on this album on tv recently and decided to purchase the entire album. I absolutely LOVE the cd and am very glad I purchased it. Matt Hires has such a beautiful voice and I can't wait for future releases!

More boring, Grays Anatomy Music Feb 04, 2010 Lately, I hear so much canned music that feels like its been penned specifically to appear in some primetime Drama as a lovemaking montage. It's as if these cookie cutter musicians are competing for a Grammy category titled 'Best Song Written to Appear in Gray's Anatomy/CougarTown insert show name here".
Boring, bland, England Dan and John Ford Coley music...
Please make it stop.
Exceptional Debut Album! Jan 17, 2010 I heard Honey, Let Me Sing You A Song during an episode of NBC's Cougar Town last week and was surprised by it. I went to their website and hunted down the song. I started to listen to some of the tracks of this album and just fell in love with it. I got the whole album and was surprised by how strong all the tracks were. It's rare for me to enjoy a whole album from start to finish. This is a rare exception, so I felt compelled to share that with others. The last album that I felt this strongly about was Travis, The Man Who album which was great from the first to the last track. This is the same way. Matt Hires has such an incredible voice, it's strong and vulnerable, and the emotions in the songs shine through. I've been listening to it non-stop for a week now and instead of getting bored or sick, I'm growing more attached to the songs. If that isn't a great sign of a strong album, I don't know what is. I remember listening to Travis, The Man Who for over a whole year. Time will tell about this album, but it's worth the buy. My favorite songs keep changing with more plays, but I love Honey, Let Me Sing You a Song, A Perfect Day, You Are the One, Turn the Page, State Lines, O Sunrise, Out of the Dark, and more.

Best New Album! Sep 21, 2009 This is the best new album I have found in a very long time. Great songs with catchy lyrics that you'll be singing along with on the second listen. Another Mat(t) singer/songwriter that has put together a fantasic album. There are comparisons to Mat Kearney and Matt Nathanson (both great artist in their own rights) but he has a unique voice that at times can remind me of Adam Duritz (Counting Crows). If you like Counting Crows, early John Mayer, Mat Kearney, Matt Nathanson, then you will love this album.
Worth it! Sep 20, 2009 This is a great album! A catchy balance of strong lyrics and interesting musicality! Matt Hires is a gifted song writer with a distinct sound that will keep you engaged and interested as you enjoy this album time and time again! Definitely worth it!
